Dennis Davison Senior was born in Northamptonshire the home of good shoe making, once leaving the Army after serving in WW2 D Day Landings, Dennis trained as a master shoe maker. He studied at Northamptonshire College for his technical diploma and worked at Crockett and Jones and Church’s shoe factories. This was in the golden age of British shoe manufacturing and, even today, the best shoes in the world are made there in Northampton. The Davison Family Footwear opened in Coventry, UK, 1953. Dennis owned several Davison’s Footwear units, which still live on through Dennis’s son now who still has a shop in Nuneaton.
